EP Review: ATEEZ – Treasure Epilogue: Action To Answer

ATEEZ is already back, this time with their fourth EP: ‘Treasure Epilogue: Action To Answer’. These guys have been working hard and releasing quality content like crazy. Monster Rookies, indeed.

EDEN, one of our favorite songwriters has worked on the entire album, if you want to discover more about him, check out our episode of DisKovery With A K.

Treasure Epilogue: Action To Answer

Their first track is ‘Answer’ and it’s also their title track.

Honestly, it’s a beautiful song with references to their earlier work. I love the moments where they turn the instrumentals down a notch and the amazing vocals can stand out.

The ‘Horizon’ intro already gave me everything I wanted. But then the rap break comes through and they totally delivered. And then the vocals!! The drop had me shook and I am absolutely in love with ‘Horizon’, it’s my favorite number of the EP.

Star 1117’ is a complete musical whiplash from ‘Horizon’. We’re going to ballad town y’all. It’s so soft both with the instrumentals and the vocals. It feels like a little galaxy wrapped gift to the fans. It gave me chills especially when the electric guitar comes in and the belting in the background began.

Precious’ brings the energy back that I’ve correlated with the name ATEEZ. I love the experimental touch to the instrumentals. Though I wish that the drop was a bit bigger, the buildup was there a couple of times. If you’ve read other reviews I’ve written you probably know by now that I’m a total sucker for chanting, so they definitely ticked that box.

With ‘Outro: Long Journey’ we’re already at the last track of the EP: ‘Treasure Epilogue: Action To Answer’ by ATEEZ. Can I just say that this is a masterpiece? Because it is DOPE. The smooth storytelling, the violins, I felt so inspired after listening to the outro. I’m totally adding this to my writing playlist because I felt like I could take on the world.

Overall, this was a solid EP, I wonder where their story line will take them next, but I know that I’m already looking forward to hear it.
