[Review] WEi – IDENTITY: Action

The boys from WEi are back with the mini-album ‘IDENTITY: Action’. This comes after their mini ‘IDENTITY: Challenge’ which they released only four months ago.

This is the third and final act of their ‘IDENTITY’ series.

IDENTITY: Action

We start off with the title track ‘BYE BYE BYE’. We’re blessed with another summer bop today. This song is super fun and catchy with the ‘bye bye bye’ chorus and the funky riffs in the background.

‘White Light’ follows that with a pop ballad sound. We get some outstanding vocals with interesting instrumentals added that keep it very dynamic. The rap verses, though, breathe some extra life into it.

Next up is the track ‘Waitin’’ and introduces us with a very addicting beat. We’re going more the hip-hop route with a very satisfying beat drop. It’s a song you have to dance to.

‘Ocean’ is refreshing, fun and cute. It’s a whole vibe and I can already envision the music video with the members playing on the beach. It’s wholesome.

The last track on the mini is ‘RUi’. It’s a song for the fans where they express their love and gratitude in a ballad with sweeping strings and soft vocals.

‘IDENTITY: Action’ is a lovely mini-album by WEi. We get to hear very diverse styles and it makes it so that everyone can find something they enjoy best.

Go ahead and listen to the mini-album on Spotify here.
