TNX is a brand new boy group who debuted today with their debut EP ‘WAY UP’. The group consists of Taehun, Kyungjun, Hyunsoo, Junhyeok, Hwi and Sungjun. This is the first boy group to debut under P NATION.
WAY UP
We start off with the opening track ‘WE ON’. Hwi co-wrote and composed the track. It’s a really cool hip-hop track with a deep bass. It’s a vibe and feels quite mature, it’s so laidback, I dig it.
The next track ‘180sec’ brings on all the funk. I really enjoyed the vocal build-up that smoothly ends in the subdrop. It’s such a cool moment. The track was co-composed and co-written by PENOMECO and DAMIAN. The sirenlike synth in the backing track is a vibe.
The title track ‘MOVE’ is so SICK. The chorus goes hard and the ‘move, move’ in the chorus is insane. The vocals are great and the bridge feels like the cherry on top. I really like the orchestral sections.
‘Burst Up’ is next. Penomeco and APRO worked together to compose this one. It’s playful while the instrumentals still go hard. The ‘burst up’ is catchy and the repetition makes it easy to sing along to.
The closing track is ‘Your Favorite Melody’. Hwi wrote and composed this one too. This is a soft pop track that feels emotional and is meant as a comfort to listeners. It’s very cute.
Overall, ‘WAY UP’ by TNX is a solid debut that will no doubt be very successful. I’m expecting a lot of great things from these kids.
