[Review] Ha Sung Woon – Strange World

Ha Sung Woon is back with his new EP ‘Strange World’. This comes right before his enlistment for his mandatory military service. Let’s dive right in!

Strange World

The opening track is the title track ‘FOCUS’. This Pop track has a super catchy hook and the instrumentals are super groovy. The bass really hits and Ha Sung Woon’s vocals are a vibe. I’m really digging this title track.

‘Say Yes’ is up next. This cute concept gave me musical whiplash but that’s fine. Ha Sung Woon can pull off both concepts like he does it every day. The piano is really fun and quirky and creates a very happy atmosphere.

The following track is ‘Baby Blue’ and we’re going smooth R&B with this one. There’s a sick bass and the plucky guitar chords are awesome. Add this to your sexy Korean R&B playlists.

‘Too little too late’ has the only feature on the album. JAMIE joined Ha Sung Woon to create an absolutely amazing R&B track. I love the retro vibe to the instrumentals. Their harmonisations are brilliant and I’m obsessed by this very unexpected combination.

The closing track ‘Daylight’ is a beautiful, soft ballad. The vocals really shine here and it has a very wholesome vibe. It’s a super nice listen.
