[Review] Ciipher – CODE

The boys from Ciipher are back with their new EP ‘CODE’. Let’s dive in!

CODE

We start off with the very ominous sounding ‘THE CODE (intro)’. Someone who knows morse code should let us know what it meant.

Next up is the title track ‘Fame’. This Future Pop track has a super nice balance between the vocal layering and the synths and bass. It’s a vibe and it’s catchy to boot. This is really well done!

‘Slam The Door’ is next. This is pop mixed with a dash of pop rock. It’s happy, fun and has a fantastic build-up to the bridge.

The following track is ‘On The Highway‘. The album description, just like the song is so wholesome: “It contains the heart of not stopping while walking on one’s own path. It is about overcoming chaotic minds such as loneliness and frustration, overcoming ‘the little things that pass by me’ lightly, and moving forward with faith in yourself.”

‘You’ is a soft pop track that has some insane instrumentals. I love the instrumental brass section. The slowed down vocal segments are just *chef’s kiss*.

The closing track is ‘Stay’. This is a song for the fandom. It’s kind of a vibe! I enjoyed the autotune and the rapping sections. It’s a really laidback listen.

Overall ‘CODE’ by Ciipher is a really cool EP. I’m excited to hear more from them! Go ahead and check out the EP on Spotify here.
