[Review] ATEEZ – Zero: Fever Epilogue

The boys from ATEEZ are back with their new mini-album ‘Zero: Fever Epilogue’. We are super stoked, so let’s dive in!

Zero: Fever Epilogue

We start off with the title track ‘Turbulence‘. They released the music video for this last week. The pop rock ballad is very interesting and according to the album description; “is a song that expresses the anguish of the ‘life’ of young people living in the present age with ATEEZ’s unique color.”

‘Be With You’ is a proper ballad with a beautiful piano accompaniment. The violin that comes in really adds to the depth of the track. We get outstanding vocals, stunning harmonies and a wholesome message. Let the boys from ATEEZ comfort you during hard times.

Next up is ‘The Letter’. I enjoyed the old-timey piano and the soft pop vibes. This track is a thank you to the fans for being with the members. The rap verse keeps the song dynamic and a fun listen.

After that comes the Korean version of the track ‘Still Here’. The single was originally released on their Japanese album ‘Into the A to Z’. The following track ‘Better’ was also originally in Japanese on the album ‘Treasure EP: Map To Answer’.

Next up

The second title track of this release is ‘The Real – Heung Version’. The first version of the track was their finale single for the survival show ‘Kingdom’ which you can read all about here. The ‘Heung Version’ has more Korean traditional instruments but the same amount of swagger. It’s dope.

‘Waze Overture’ was also performed during ‘Kingdom’, together with the tracks ‘WONDERLAND: Symphony No.9 ‘From The Wonderland” and ‘Answer Ode To Joy’ featuring LA POEM.

The closing track is ‘Outro: Over The Horizon’. It’s a lovely outro with a cool guitar riff and a heavy sense of closure. When the full segment of electric guitars, vocal harmonies and drums kick in, I was in awe.

Overall, ‘Zero: Fever Epilogue’ by ATEEZ is a nice epilogue with someo of the tracks that we already know and love. It’s a great listen and displays all of their many talents.
