[Review] KINO – if this is love, I want a refund

Our boy KINO is back with his new solo mini-album ‘If this is love, I want a refund’. We’re super stoked to hear new music by him, so let’s take a closer look!

if this is love, I want a refund

We start off with the title track ‘Broke My Heart’ featuring Lay Bankz. It’s a fun pop meets hip hop track. The piano riff is incredible! I’m absolutely living for this Lay Bankz feature, she’s incredible and I love to see this powerful combo. The only thing I’m sad about is that it’s under two minutes, which is kind of crazy for a title track.

‘Solo’ is up next and has us vibing with a really cool synth riff. We’re being accompanied by Kino’s smooth vocals. I really enjoyed the overall progression of the track, the chorus is fun! However, this could also have been a bit longer.

The following track ‘Freaky Love’ was released as a pre-release last month.

‘Valentine’ is up next and we’re going for soft R&B. I enjoyed the warmth of this track as the guitars add a lot of depth, especially that bass. It’s a lovely listen!

The closing track is ‘Fashion Style’ which is another pre-release. This came out three months ago.
