VINXEN is back with new music, this time to celebrate his birthday he released the mixtape ‘MANTA BIPOLAR Pt.2‘. Last year he released the first part of this mixtape, check it out here.
MANTA BIPOLAR Pt.2
‘풍덩‘ serves as the intro for this release, it is a rather calm and very lo-fi track, the instrumentation definitely sets the mood for this mixtape.
‘GANSHIN‘ and ‘늘‘ are next, loaded with VINXEN’s rapping mixed with a touch of autotune and a very cool rock-ish instrumentation he has been experimenting with over the last couple of releases. Super fresh and cool.
In this mixtape, VINXEN included some dope collabs including Young Kay for the tracks ‘OSAKA‘ and ‘바다아래‘; ‘High School Rapper 2‘ participant Yenjamin in ‘옆에 2021‘; and Im Soo for the songs ‘GUAP‘ and ‘안아줘 2021‘.
This release shows a different side of VINXEN’s music, fans get to listen to some soft tracks like ‘DRAW‘ and ‘SURF‘ with awesome instrumentation. Or tracks like ‘안녕!-!‘ and ‘좋은 slow‘ more slow paced and kinda dark but unique.
‘어디야 2021‘ really stood out for me in this release, its groovy feel was very unique and very new to VINXEN’s discography.
Overall, this mixtape was a lovely surprise, the sound was quite diverse but kept VINXEN’s uniqueness and style. You can listen to it here.
