[Review] Moonbin&Sanha – REFUGE

Astro‘s Moonbin&Sanha are back with their second mini-album ‘REFUGE‘. Not long ago they dropped the pre-release single ‘Ghost Town‘ and had us shook with its sound and smoothness.

We were looking forward to this release, so let’s dive into the music they have prepared.

REFUGE

The title track ‘WHO‘ kicks off this release with a very seductive style and deep bass. The falsettos are incredible, the smoothness of the arrangement is seriously super intriguing and it hooks listeners to the track as it plays. This song is an experience to listen to.

For the music video we stay on the sexy side with stunning shots and vampire vibes we truly appreciate. Sanha and Moonbin look incredible in this MV and that is an understatement. The angles used and camera work are fantastic, and the choreography absolutely flawless. Watch it below.

Lo-fi and R&B meet in ‘BOO‘. This single is super charming and has some groovy vocals. The synth line is super cool, and I really liked the harmonisations and refreshing style of this song.

Moving on, the single ‘DIA‘ plays with a retro feel and a fun EDM arrangement. This track will have you jamming to it as it plays. Next up is ‘Distance‘, taking over with acoustic guitar and sweet vocals, this pop song is super soft and heartwarming, Moonbin’s and Sanha’s vocals as expected deliver all the feels and it is beautiful.

The last track in this EP is the pre-release single ‘Ghost Town’.

Astro’s members keep surprising us with incredible sub-units that just show how talented they are. We will be looking forward to their next release, and you can listen to this EP here.
