We’re back with a new Indie Pick and this time we’re going the electronica route with the duo Glen Check.
Glen Check consists of the two members Kim June One and Kang Hyuk-jun. They originally were named The Closure but renamed themselves in 2011 with the release of their first EP ‘Disco Elevator’.
Their following release was their first full-length album ‘Haute Couture’. The album won the Best Dance & Electronic Album at the 2013 Korean Music Awards.
The EP ‘Cliche’ came along in 2012 as well.
‘YOUTH’ was their second full-length album and also won them the Best Dance & Electronic Album at the Korean Music Awards.
‘The Glen Check Experience’ was released in 2017 and this is such a VIBE. The opening track ‘Dreaming Kills’ is a ride and so well layered. ‘Long Strange Days pt. 1’ literally had me straight-up vibing. Billboard named it as one of the best 20 albums of the year.
Their next full-length album came out in 2022 with ‘Bleach’.
