[Review] WONHO – FACADE

WONHO is back to bless us with his new mini-album ‘FACADE’. Let’s dive right in to see what vibe he’s going for this time.

FACADE

We start off with the intro track ‘INTRO : 9 AM’. This is an intro to a creepy festival by the mixture of strings and the music box effect. It’s an intruiging opening.

Next up is the title track ‘CRAZY’. This is a funky dance track with groovy bass and nice vocalization. There’s some really cool electric guitar in the instrumentation! I wish there was a bit more variation in the tempo, but the special effects with the vocal warping and the sirens kind of make up for it.

‘Close’ follows that. This is a soft pop track that is completely in English. It’s dreamy and fits Wonho’s vocals to a tee.

We’re also getting the Korean version of ‘White Miracle’. This was originally released in Japanese. It’s a bit strange to hear a track about snow and winter when summer is about to begin. Regardless, it’s a very lovely track.

The closing track is ‘OUTRO : 9 PM’. We get the beautiful strings back from the intro and there’s a nice closure to the full EP.

Overall, ‘FACADE’ is a nice EP by WONHO though I had wished for a bit more pizzazz.

You can listen to the EP on Spotify here. If you’d like to go back to our review about his previous comeback you can do that here.
