[Review] Mad Clown – 0

Mad Clown is back with his latest EP ‘0’. This is his first EP since signing under the new agency GRANDLINE. Before that he was signed under Starship Entertainment, but he decided not to renew his contract.

Let’s dive in!

The opening single is ‘어쩌구 저쩌구’ featuring Bulldaegal from the punk band No Brain. Bulldaegal’s vocals are raspy and insane and from the opening seconds I had shivers. What an amazing song, though it does feel as if the ending was a bit abrupt.

Next up is the title track ‘용기내지 마세요’ featuring Kim Young Heum. This is on the complete other side of the spectrum. Kim Young Heum’s voice is super soft and the vibe of the song feels very comforting. We get some acoustic guitar and it flows so wonderfully.

The third song on this EP is ‘낡은 노래방’. This time Kim Young Geun is the feature. We featured him in our K-Cover series, you can find that here. We get another soft, soft song. In this song however, we get a more uplifting narrative. There are strings in the arrangement and it is utterly chill-inducing.

We close the EP ‘0’ by Mad Clown with the single ‘새주소 ‘ featuring Jin Minho. We get another beautiful ballad. The vocals are out of this world. This is such an OST worthy song.

The EP ‘0’ by Mad Clown isn’t on Spotify yet, but here’s his Artist Profile so keep an eye out!
