DisKover The Cover: Kim Young Geun – Lay Me Down

We’re back with a new cover you should check out, this time by Kim Young Geun. If you’re a fan of Sam Smith’s silky voice, you’ll definitely like Kim Young Geun’s interpretation of the song ‘Lay Me Down’.

Kim Young Geun was part of ‘Superstar K 2016’ and with this cover he made it all the way to the top. He ended up as the winner of the show. In the cover he shows off his beautiful tightly controlled vibrato and it almost brought me to tears.

In 2017 he made his solo debut with the ballad ‘Under Wall Road’ and has since then released several OSTs including one for the hit K-drama ‘Hi, Bye Mama’ and the series ‘Voice’. Funny coincidence, I’m actually watching ‘Voice’ right now. I had no idea he had an OST until I was doing research.

He has his own YouTube Channel, that you can find here
And if you want to find his Spotify, you can click here.
