Indie Pick: Aseul

Aseul is a Korean synthpop artist and she’s also the Indie Pick for this feature. She used to release music under the stage name Yukari, but decided to break away from thatname to pursue a different style. Aseul writes and produces everything herself. Stan talent y’all.

The first song I heard was ‘Sandcastles’.

It immediately swept me away on a deep dive into her discography. It’s just so unique, that I fell in love. The echo effect on her voice had me tripping. It totally fits with the vibe of the song and the lyrics.

Here’s the translation:
“sandcastles, sandcastles
collapse and crumble

hoping you’ll visit a morningless room
Wherever you’ll go
hoping you’ll be with all the nights in the world

Watch this performance for the channel ONSTAGE for her song ‘SARAM’. It’s beautiful to see everything come together slowly. Also if you’re into Korean Indie music, just follow the channel, they have awesome performances.

‘Fade Away’ is her latest release and when I heard it I was on the bus. Let’s just say that both my physical body and my mind were travelling. It was a beautiful experience, and I feel like she’s just getting better and better.

Check out her Instagram.

Go subscribe to her YouTube channel.

Here’s her Spotify.

Aseul is a super talented Korean indie artist and I’m sure that whatever she puts out next will be great.

If you enjoy Aseul’s music, check out the song ‘Scenery’ by Ashmute that I listed in my Top 3.
