Actor Spotlight: Jung Hae-in

We are back with a brand new Actor Spotlight and this time we are sharing the career of Jung Hae-In.

Jung Hae-in started off his career in 2013, one of his first gigs was an appearance in AOA Black’s music video for the single ‘Moya’. His official debut as an actor was in 2014 in the drama ‘Bride of the Century’, being followed up by the movie ‘The Youth’. 

Jung Hae-in landed his first main role during this year for the tvN drama ‘The Three Musketeers’, this was a very impressive progress in his career as his previous roles were mainly support ones. 

Breaking to mainstream 

Between 2015 and 2016, Jung Hae-in continued on building a very impressive acting career with support and guest roles in well-known and extremely popular dramas including ‘Blood’, ‘Reply 1988’, ‘Yeah, That’s How It Is’, ‘Night Light’ and ‘Goblin’. 

In 2015, he also had a guest role for the movie ‘Salut D’Amour’. 

In 2017, he gained a lot of attention for his role in the very popular drama ‘While You Were Sleeping’ where he performed alongside big names in the industry like Suzy and Lee Jong-suk

With this drama, he definitely gave viewers the second lead syndrome, his acting was just incredible.

During this year he also participated in the historical movies ‘The King’s Case Note’ and ‘The Age of Blood’.

From Main to Lead

Jung Hae-in appeared in the 2017 drama ‘Prison Playbook’ with a support role. He landed his first lead in 2018 in the popular drama ‘Something in the Rain’. 

This role gained the hearts of many fans and established Hae-in as a top tier actor, his character was very lovable and his acting superb. This role earned him several awards including the “Excellence Award, Actor in a Miniseries” in the APAN Star Awards. Check the trailer below.

In 2018, he also participated in the movie ‘Heung-boo: The Revolutionist’.

During 2019, he continued landing main roles, this time for the well known drama ‘One Spring Night’ and the film ‘Tune in for Love’. These two productions received several awards, and Hae-in received the “Top Excellence Award, Actor in a Wednesday-Thursday Drama” in the 2019 MBC Awards. 

Between 2019 and 2020, he filmed his own variety show with the name ‘Jung Hae-in’s Travel Log’, and left us some very priceless moments. Check a few clips below.

His next drama was the tvN production ‘A Piece of Your Mind’ in 2020. For 2021, Hae-in has a few projects lined-up including the drama ‘D.P.’, ‘Snowdrop’, and the movie ‘Unframed’.
