xikers is back with new music in their eighth mini-album, ‘ROUTE ZERO : The CALLING’! We know this group for their explosive energy, charisma, and killer rap-line, so we’re curious to see what they have prepared for this release. Let’s dive in!
ROUTE ZERO : The CALLING
The title track ‘DIENAMITE’ opens this release with an unexpected but powerful rock and hip-hop combination. This track goes all out with its full arrangement, vocal sections, and impressive rap flow. It’s definitely a title track packed with energy! The music video takes things even further, featuring intense dance sequences and some seriously cool visuals.
With a rather fun intro, ‘Go’ takes over with mixtape vibes that totally caught us by surprise. The rap-line once again goes off, delivering a smooth flow and a killer bounce throughout the track.
‘Mask Off’ brings back an intensity similar to the title track, and we absolutely love the vocal layering from the vocal-line. The melodic rap and ad-libs are particularly cool, while the flawless transitions between sections and catchy hook make this track even more enjoyable.
Hype beats take over in ‘One’, a single that is pure adrenaline from start to finish. Its intense beat progression, clever use of pauses, and incredibly satisfying drops make for an exciting listen. The ad-libs add even more fun and give the track an edgy touch.
Next up is ‘DUMB’, featuring a very cool synth line and a composition that brings arcade music to mind. However, xikers give it their own twist, adding an angsty edge through the rap sections and smooth vocal harmonies.
This release reaches its end with ‘Sanctuary’, a track featuring irresistible vocals and a smooth alternative sound. The interesting vocal effects add another layer to the listening experience, making this a particularly cool track and a killer way to close the mini-album.
xikers has once again delivered an effortlessly cool release! The creativity and uniqueness throughout this mini-album make it another standout addition to their discography. Make sure to give it a listen!
