[Review] Sleep

We’re back with a new film review and this time we watched the film ‘Sleep’. Let’s take a closer look!

This 2023 film takes us on a wild ride. ‘Sleep’ is a psychological thriller and we never know what is right and what is not.

We follow the couple Hyun-su and Soo-jin. They’re expecting when Hyun-su, the husband, suddenly starts sleepwalking and behaving strangely. Hyun-su is portrayed by Lee Sun-Kyu and is an aspiring actor.

Soo-jin (Jung Yu-Mi) is a couple of month pregnant and is a bit of a nightowl. She notices him talking in his sleep and eating from the fridge while still asleep.

Together they visit the doctor to see if they can fix it.

I’m not going to say more because it would ruin the story.

The film ‘Sleep’ is very cool. It’s a very small scale story. We’re only following our main couple with a few extra players. Their dialogues and chemistry are great and I really enjoyed following their story.

I also enjoyed the camerawork. Some scenes were filmed in ways that really helped portray the character’s feelings. It was great.

If you’re into psychological thrillers at all, definitely give this a shot.
