[Review] SEVENTEEN – Sector 17

The boys from SEVENTEEN are back with the release ‘Sector 17’. This is the repackage of their album ‘Face The Sun’ which came out in May. You can read the review of that here. For the purpose of this feature, I’ll only be writing about the new singles they added to the original release.

Let’s dive in!

Sector 17

We start off this album with the single ‘Circles’. This is a mid-tempo ballad. The opening by Vernon immediately had me in an emotional chokehold. What a lovely soft way to start off this album. This song is a blessing of beautiful vocals. Definitely read the lyrics for the full experience. The ending with the multiple vocals and the choir had me feel things.

After that emotional rollercoaster, comes the title track ‘_World’. We’re going soft disco pop with this one. It’s absolutely adorable and I love a soft SEVENTEEN concept. The sets look great and I really enjoyed the smooth transitions between members. The MV reminds me a bit of ‘Ready To Love’.

Next up is the Korean version of ‘Fallin’ Flower’. If you haven’t seen the MV of the Japanese version, you can do so below. DK’s verse in this is so stunning. I love this to pieces.

The last new track on the release is ‘CHEERS’. This is by the SVT leaders unit, which we sorely missed. This track is such a total bop. I am obsessed with the flute motif, it’s such a vibe.

That’s it for the new tracks on the repackaged album ‘SECTOR 17’ by SEVENTEEN. Go ahead and listen to the album on Spotify here.
