[Review] Kwon Eun Bi – Lethality

Our queen Kwon Eun Bi is back with her new mini-album ‘Lethality’. Let’s dive in, because I’ve been super excited for this comeback. ‘Glitch‘ is still one of my favs.

Lethality

We start off with ‘WAVE’. This is a super nice, dramatic instrumental opening. I really enjoyed the ambience this created. The electronic guitar was iconic and I would have loved to hear more.

Next up is the title track ‘Underwater’. First of all, this is a massive slay. This is fantastic. We’re going pop dance for this one with some Afro beats mixed with Deep House. It’s a really cool mix, that totally works.

The music video is giving off dark fairytale vibes and I’m 100% here for it. The MV feels very visually decadent. I’m thrilled!

‘Croquis’ follows that. This is a continuation of ‘Glitch’ from her secon mini-album. I’m obsessed with this track. The beat is everything! I love how they pitched her vocals a bit. The deeper voice in the bridge makes it even better.

Next up is ‘Simulation’. The bass line is an immediate groove. What a catchy track. You’ll be singing along with the chorus in no time! The way they play with the build-up of instrumentals was so smart.

‘Flash’ is the first and only feature on the mini. Park Moonchi, who we’ve written about here is a wonderful indie artist and I love seeing these two creatives come together. This track is a wonderful R&B moment with great rhythm, great vocals and a smooth bridge.

The closing track is ‘Hi’. We’re going indie pop with this track, reminiscent of the early 2010s. I love this so much!

Kwon Eun Bi did not disappoint with her new mini-album ‘Lethality’. Go ahead and listen to it here.
