[Review] KISS OF LIFE – ‘224’: R&B, Hip-Hop & Y2K Vibes

This release begins with the title track, ‘Lips Hips Kiss,’ a single that brings early 2000s R&B vibes with a modern twist. The full single is super smooth and vibey, with a laid-back rhythm that adds a sexy touch. In the music video, the members deliver a smooth and sexy performance, showcasing very pretty visuals and their unique vibe.

Next up is the single ‘Tell Me,’ which incorporates Afro beats with a cool house genre touch. This track has a very groovy rhythm, and the guitar riff adds a special touch. ‘k bye‘ takes over with a serious Y2K feel. This track is more hip-hop driven, with cool tracks and an effortlessly cool rhythm.

Painting‘ moves this release forward by mixing lovely lo-fi jazz melodies with groovy instrumentals. This single stands out with its smooth melodic rapping, sax instrumentals, and smooth vocal harmonies.

Disco vibes take over in ‘Slide‘. The mixing in this track is fantastic, with a very vibey musical flow and stunning vocals, rich in falsettos, ad-libs, and overall hype vibes.

A string riff and very rich vocals come along in ‘Heart of Gold‘. This single also brings in 2000s R&B and commits to it with its very smooth vocals and harmonies. This track is a total smooth listen that really sticks with its instrumentals and flow.

Closing off this mini-album is ‘Think Twice,’ which opens with impactful harmonies and evolves into a stunning acoustic guitar instrumental track with a touch of piano. This single is super soft and rather sentimental, a very warm end to this release.
