The girls from H1-KEY are back with their third mini-album ‘LOVE OR HATE’. Let’s take a closer look!
LOVE OR HATE
We start off with the rock anthem ‘Let it burn’. This is grungy, a bit punk but most importantly a cool listen with a nice hook and the message of wanting to burn things down that aren’t great.
‘♥ Letter‘ is up next. All of the Hi-Key members participated in writing the lyrics. According to the album description: “It is a letter-style song that contains the members’ warm feelings for each other.” This is super sweet, and an easy-listen pop track with a groovy beat to it.
After that comes ‘Iconic’. This is a nice pop track with the surprising addition of a cello in the instrumentation. It’s a lovely addition and brings a unique depth to the track.
The last track is ‘Rainfalls’. I absolutely love the vocals in this track. The slight dissonance is super nice and I enjoyed the progression. This song is meant to be a comfort during hard days.
