Hoshi and Woozi from SEVENTEEN created the new subunit HxW and today they dropped their debut single album ‘BEAM’.
The single album contains three tracks, and opens with ‘PINOCCHIO‘ featuring none other than SoYoON! from Se So Neon. Sadly this stunning alternative R&B moment is only 1 minute and 45 seconds long and honestly deserves a full length version.
Next up is the title track ‘96ers’. This is a really fun track with a lot of charisma, chutzpah and pizzazz. I love the HxW combination and the track effortlessly flows from rapping to some insane vocal adlibs. I enjoyed the thin instrumental during the verses and the heavier chorus.
‘STUPID IDIOT’ follows that with a deep house based track. It’s a total club banger where they’re not afraid to look crazy on the dance floor. I can’t wait to see the choreography to this because the beat is absolutely sick.
