[Review] Kwon Eun Bi – Color

Kwon Eun Bi is back to wow us with her new mini-album ‘Color’. Let’s dive right in because my expectations are sky high after her last amazing release.

Color

We start off with the intro track ‘The Colors of Light’. If you’re in want of a cinematic experience, this is it. The way the orchestration glitches into the EDM/electro moment is insane. I dig this so much! What a cool listening experience!

Next up is the title track ‘Glitch’. This is such a vibe. According to the album description this is UK Garage meeting Neuro Bass. All I know is that it’s a total club banger. I can’t wait to go dance. Kwon Eun Bi’s vocals fit ‘Glitch’ so well. That bridge is next level and I’m gonna be proper obsessed with this track for a while.

‘Magnetic’ comes after and starts off on quite the mysterious vibe. This is a bit more R&B with a really cool bass throughout. It’s dope, catchy and I can see this become a summer hit.

Following up we get ‘Colors’. The R&B ballad is quite impressive and I would love to hear a more stripped version of this to get the full effect of the emotional meaning. It’s lovely.

‘Speed Of Love’ feels nostalgic, especially with the super nice violin opening. The jazz based ballad has a very languid tempo and vocal tone. I love the way Eun Bi’s vocals continue that lovely ebb and flow momentum.

We close the EP with ‘OFF’ which is a soft ballad that will leave you sit in your emotions for a bit.

Overall, ‘Color’ by Kwon Eun Bi is a very impressive comeback after ‘OPEN DOOR’. I can’t wait to see which kind of musical direction she continues to grow in.
