[Review] TWS – Sparkling Blue

There’s a new boygroup in town with TWS (twenty-four seven with us) and their debut mini-album ‘Sparkling Blue’. The group under Pledis consists out of six members: Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin. We’re super curious, so let’s take a closer look!

Sparkling Blue

We start off the mini with the title track ‘Plot twist’. This is such an adorable track. I love the freshness of the music video as well! This hybrid pop track is the perfect debut track and feels very contemporary.

‘unplugged boy’ is the second track on the mini. This is an alt pop track with a retro band sound. This has a very cute energy and the warm guitar riff really creates a nice ambience.

Next up is ‘first hooky’. We’re going for groovy, addictive synths in this one. I really enjoyed the melody and the progression of the track. It’s catchy and a lovely listen.

‘BFF’ follows along with trap R&B vibes. This is a really cool moment with brass and guitars. Honestly this was just really adorable.

The closing track is the pre-released ‘Oh Mymy : 7s’ which we shared earlier.

Overall, ‘Sparkling Blue’ by TWS is a really solid debut that immediately sets their musical identity straight. We’ll be sure to stick around for their next releases!
