[Review] BTOB – Be Together

After four long years of waiting BTOB is all back together with their third studio album ‘Be Together‘.

If you are new to K-pop you might recognise this very wholesome group for their charismatic personalities, the infinite amount of memes they have, and their incredible performances they did for ‘KINGDOM: Legendary War‘.

BTOB is known for having one of the most solid vocal lines in Kpop, and their stage power and presence is absolutely incredible. We are thrilled for this big comeback album, let’s dive in and enjoy the music.

Be Together

Intro : The Trace‘ welcomes listeners to this album with a dreamy instrumentation that pulls you right into a fairytale, setting the mood the title track ‘The Song‘. For this single BTOB made sure to aim at Melody’s feelings and they achieved it. The vocals, harmonisations, slow pace and feelings in this songs are absolutely beautiful and heart-warming.

I cannot think of a more perfect comeback title track for them, and if you are a Melody get ready for an emotional rollercoaster with this song. For the music video we get organic settings, the members showing off their talent and being absolutely ethereal. Check it below.

Next up is ‘Blooming Day‘ giving us all the feels with its orchestration, ad-libs and even the rapping. The tempo of this song goes right into the listeners’ hearts and it is just powerful.

Be Together‘ takes over with a soft-pop style and a flow that feels like a warm hug on a cold day, very heartwarming, and just beautiful from start to end. The bridge for this track is incredible and just kept surprising me with every new section, amazing.

We get a more Hip-Hop and R&B inspired track with ‘My Way‘, and Peniel kills it with his verses. The groovy instrumentation in this song is A VIBE, and its composition super cool.

Whiskey‘ comes along to exude sexy vibes and I am in for this track. HUTA rapping makes it even sexier and the members’ vocals go off with a raspy feel I thoroughly enjoyed.

Half-way

Interlude : Re‘ brings a lovely instrumental break to this incredible release. This track is really lovely and calming, the perfect middle point.

Intense feelings and instrumentations start the second half of this album in ‘Lonely‘. As usual BTOB hits hard with their pop-ballads and this one is no exception. Just get your tissues.

With a grungy guitar ‘Dance With Me‘ begins and delivers a one of a kind musical experience. The arrangement in this song is LIT, and the vocals powerful and super dynamic. I loved its style and freshness.

Higher‘ takes over with a powerful electric guitar and anthem vibes. The sectioning in this song is spectacular! At times we get a more hip-hop driven track, but then pop-rock vibes takes over flip this song entirely with insanely good high tones and a lot of power. **Chef’s Kiss.

We go onto a more sweet and calm style with ‘Thank You‘, and this song was a big of a throwback to BTOB’s early discography. It is super cute and wholesome.

It’s All Good‘ follows with the wholesome vibes and a feel good song style, BTOB’s sweet vocals are something else in this song, this song is just super calming and sweet.

Closing this album we get ‘Outro : Encore‘, and I seriously need to listen to this song live. The power of the vocals and rapping with the style and flow of the track makes it the perfect end-of-concert single. It is emotional and beautiful to listen to.

BTOB came back and dropped an outstanding release. This album is solid from start to finish, with a lot of genre variety and an impeccable sound. Make sure to listen to album here.
