[Review] Brave Girls – After We Ride

The queens from Brave Girls are back with their mini-album ‘After We Ride’. This comes only two months after their mini ‘Summer Queen’ which we wrote about here.

After We Ride

The title track ‘After We Ride’ is the aftermath of their hitsingle ‘We Ride’. Where they were girls in love in ‘We Ride’, in this track they’re dealing with heartbreak. We’re getting an interesting blend of dance with some rock inspired sounds thrown in. It’s a very cool mix and works fabulously with their vocals tying everything together.

They might have another hit on their hands. It’s a really cool song!

After that we get the acoustic version of their previous title track ‘Chi Mat Ba Ram’. It’s absolutely lovely and their vocals shine. I’m also loving the heavier guitar sound.

‘FEVER’ was also on their ‘Summer Queen’ EP. This remix feels very sexy and sensual. The electric guitar shredding in the back is super cool! It’s a jam.

The last track is the piano version of ‘Summer by myself’. This version is so cool! I think I almost prefer this version as the vocals feel more on the forefront and they feel less processed. I desperately need a live version of this.

Overall ‘After We Ride’ by Brave Girls is a really cool repack. Their new title track is absolutely lovely and the remixes and acoustic versions of the other tracks are cool additions.

You can find the mini on Spotify here.
