DKB is back with new music in their ninth mini-album, ‘Emotion’. With this release, the group aims to showcase a more mature and emotional side of their artistry, and we couldn’t wait to check it out. Let’s dive in!
Emotion
The title single ‘Irony’ kicks off this release on a pop-rock note. The guitar riff is lively and memorable, giving the track an energetic pulse. Vocally, the members deliver sharp and expressive performances, while the overall flow feels refreshing and new to DKB’s sound. The music video focuses heavily on performance and expression, and the members absolutely nail it.
Up next is ‘Snake’, a hip-hop/trap track with a striking arrangement and a captivating sense of tension. The combination of falsettos and whisper-like rapping creates a hauntingly cool atmosphere, making it one of the standout tracks on the mini.
‘Weekend’ follows with a unique fusion of hip-hop and rock. The guitar and beat interplay is powerful, growing stronger as the song progresses, a genre experiment that pays off beautifully.
We move into dance-pop territory with ‘Cinderella’, a playful track with a charmingly nostalgic 90s vibe. The vocals are bright and sharp, complemented by fun ad-libs and backing harmonies that make it a total feel-good listen.
Closing the release is the English version of ‘Hello, Goodbye (Rollercoaster)’, originally from their first single album released last year, a perfect wrap-up for this mini-album.
DKB’s ‘Emotion’ is a well-balanced production that skillfully blends genres and moods. Check out this release here!
