[Review] A.C.E – HJZM: The Butterfly Phantasy

A.C.E just released their mini-album ‘HJZM: The Butterfly Phantasy’. I have been waiting for this one because I’ve been utterly obsessed with the high quality, breathtaking teaser videos and pictures. The underwater photoshoot has got to be one of the most beautiful promo shoots I’ve ever seen.

Enough gushing about the pictures though, let’s get into the mini-album.

HJZM: The Butterfly Phantasy

We open the mini-album with the song ‘Golden Goose’. This song really goes off. The intensity is something A.C.E is pretty well known for. The heavy trap beats go so well with their voices and when they tone that down and focus on the vocals, it’s just *chef’s kiss*.

Next up is the title track ‘Goblin (Favorite Boys)’. I’m so shook. This song is fantastic and I’ll be replaying this until the end of days. The make-up and styling team have all my respect. They look fabulous. The song itself is a complete bop and I can’t get enough of it. Literally everything about this works so well together.

After that we get the single ‘Baby Tonight’. We’re getting some smooth R&B and I dig it. Their vocals really take the spotlight in this one. The harmonization and the ad-libs are so, so good.

The fourth track is the pre-released song ‘Stand By You’. We wrote about this single here.

We close the mini with the song ‘Clover’ which was co-written and co-composed by the leader of A.C.E, Jun. We stan talent y’all. This pop-ballad is super cute and wholesome.

Overall

‘HJZM: The Butterfly Phantasy’ by A.C.E is really good and I hope this helps blow them up. They deserve it.

Go ahead and listen to the mini-album on Spotify here. If you want to read our review for their previous comeback, you can find that here.
