ILLIT is back with new music in their fifth mini-album, ‘BREAK EVEN’! They’ve been making waves on the charts with their comebacks, and we’re excited to hear what the group has prepared for us this time. Let’s dive in and explore their latest release!
BREAK EVEN
‘Super in Love’ opens the release with a fantastic EDM-pop mix that flows smoothly into a mid-tempo track. Dreamy vocals and impressive vocal layering create an enchanting atmosphere that only gets better as the song progresses, with more sound effects and instrumental elements gradually joining the mix.
We move towards more dynamic beats with ‘More’. This track brings pop and EDM together to create a vibey listening experience, featuring audio panning, soft and delicate vocals, and plenty of charisma. The production gives the song a dynamic feel while allowing the vocals to shine.
The title track, ‘You’re Under Arrest’, takes over with electro-pop sounds and the element of surprise we’ve come to expect from ILLIT’s title tracks. The whistling sounds and beat combinations make this song quite a ride, while the transitions keep things interesting and the vocals, as expected, are fantastic. It’s another playful addition to the group’s musical identity!
The release reaches its conclusion with ‘Pop’, a funky track that wraps up the mini-album on an upbeat note. Its irresistible sound is pure joy, with bouncy instrumentals, playful vocal arrangements, and an overall composition that makes it hard not to move along. It’s a delightful way to bring this release to an end!
ILLIT has delivered another mini-album that feels unmistakably like them while still offering something fresh. Laid-back, youthful, and fun, ‘BREAK EVEN’ captures the group’s playful charm and distinctive musical identity. Make sure to give it a listen!
