We’re back with a brand new feature for our Ode To The Artist, this time we’re writing about the wonderful Kim Feel.
It’s not the first time I’m writing about Kim Feel, because he’s been on my radar for a while. The song that got my attention was his cover of ‘Feel like being shot’, you can find that feature here.
Debut
He debuted in 2011 with the song ‘사랑한다면서’.
Kim Feel started getting famous after participating in ‘Superstar K6’ in 2014. He was the runner-up with the winner being Kwak Jin-eon.
The singer, born in 1986 has a whole discography of amazing music. He writes some of his own music and we love him for it. He also has songwriting credits on the song ‘Stand by you’ that was on the latest A.C.E mini-album. If you want to read our review for that album, you can click here.
His first mini-album ‘Feel Free’ was released in 2015.
OST
After his participation in ‘Superstar K6’, he started singing a lot of OSTs for popular K-dramas. Here’s a selection.
His second EP ‘from Feel’ came out in 2016 and is filled to the brim with amazing songs. I’m just very surprised/amazed that he collabbed with Echae Kang, who is an amazing indie singer who also plays violin beautifully.
After that he released a bunch of singles, like ‘your voice’ and ‘Love 2’.
It wasn’t until 2019 until he released the new EP ‘yours, sincerely’. This one is absolutely brilliant and if you listen to anything by him after reading this, make it that EP.
