[Indie Pick] Say Sue Me

We’re back with a new Indie Pick, this time we’re taking a look at the surf rock band Say Sue Me.

The quartet has been making waves not only in the K-Indie sphere but also around it. They were recently featured in the Rolling Stones for an interview where they were called: “South Korea’s Best Indie Band’.

Let’s dive into their discography!

Debut

The group got together in 2012 but didn’t release their own music until 2014. The full-length album ‘We’ve Sobered Up’ is filled with 90s rock and it’s awesome.

In 2015 they came back with the EP ‘Big Summer Night’. In the album description they wrote that they wanted to write a summer album and they gathered six songs that would recreate the feeling of summer.

Their next full-length album came out in 2018. ‘When We Were Together’ is a fantastic album. The title track ‘Old Town’ is really cool but one of my personal favorites is ‘After Falling Asleep’.

2018 was a busy year as they didn’t just come out with ‘When We Were Together’. They also released the singles ‘We Just’, ‘Just Joking Around/B Lover’ and the EP ‘Christmas it’s not a biggie’.

In 2019 they released the remastered versions of their albums ‘We’ve sobered up’ and ‘Big Summer Night’.

Then the year after Say Sue Me released the single ‘Good For Some Reason’.

2021 was the year of OSTs! They came out with an OST for ‘Nevertheless’ and ‘Yumi’s Cells’.

At the beginning of the month, Say Sue Me came back with their new full-length album ‘The Last Thing Left’. I am absolutely in love with their track featuring Kim Oki. It’s a great combination I never would have expected.
