We are back with another brand deep dive, and this month we are taking a closer look into Belif, its product lines and ingredients list.
Belif is a skincare brand that combines “time-tested apothecary herbal traditions and modern Korean skin science” (Source: Belifusa.com). Its ingredients list comes from natural sourced ingredients that are free from: parabens, sulphates, phthalates and synthetic preservatives, synthetic dyes, synthetic fragrances, mineral oils, and animal origin ingredients.
This company not only uses herbal ingredients but also makes sure that its products are up to the market demands, while keeping its high quality formulas and efficacy.
Its formulas are divided based on core herbal ingredients used, starting with the ‘Original’, including oat seed, calendula, catnip flowering tops, raspberry, wild indigo and chickweed, full of antioxidants with skin calming, anti-trouble, and anti-aging benefits.
The ‘Original 2’ includes almond oil, calendula, borage oil, rosemary, german chamomile, lavender and rose. This formula uses different types of herbal oils with anti-aging benefits that will help treat skin troubles and remove impurities to improve the skin texture.
Including a few of these ingredients and including other herbs, Belif has divided their formulation into anti-aging, moisture, aqua, dark circle and trouble. Let’s take a closer look at their different products.
Moisturising/ Hydration Line
In the moisturising hydrating line, Belif included lightweight moisturisers that provide hydration while leaving a smooth plump skin. Most of these are suitable for all skin types, however, there are some cases like the ‘The true cream moisturising bomb’ and ‘Milky Hydra Balancing Moisturiser’ which are made for dry skin types looking to get intense hydration.
For people looking to treat fine lines, loss of firmness and elasticity, the ‘Youth Creator – Age Knockdown Bomb’ and ‘Peat Miracle Revital Cream’, provide a mix of ingredients that will boost the skin’s health by supplying it with extracts that improve the cell turnover and regeneration.
Eye care Line
For the eye care line, belif included two powerful products that boost elasticity and hydrates the very delicate eye zone. If you are looking for an eye cream that also help with fine lines and dryness, the ‘Moisturising Eye Bomb’ and the ‘Peat Miracle Revital Eye Cream’ are the perfect choice for you.
With all the elements needed to start off your skin care routine, the toner line by Belif has several options to suit more than one skin type. For a deeply hydrating base with hyaluronic acid the ‘Aqua Bomb Hydrating Toner’ is the best option. For those with oily/combo skin the ‘Problem Solution Toner’ helps regulate the sebum production with its tea tree oil formulation. Suitable for all skin types we have the ‘Witch Hazel Herbal extract toner’.
Designed to re-hydrate and power-up the skin with their ingredients, the essence line offers three products that provide the skin with deep moisture, sebum production regulation and achieving an even skin tone.
One of my favourite lines from Belif are the cleansers. Their wide range, types of cleanser and ingredients makes this line super versatile. Those looking for a gentle but powerful cleanser can opt for the ‘Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser’ or ‘Cleansing Herb Water’. The ‘Problem Solution Cleansing Foam’ is for those with oily skin type and the ‘Creamy Cleansing Foam Moist’.
For some deep cleansing and make-up removal the ‘Aqua Bomb Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm’ and ‘Cleansing Gel Oil Enriched’ are the best options, for a impurity free and clean skin.
The last products I want to talk about are stand alones, starting with the ‘Aqua Bomb Overnight Lip Mask’ with centella asiatica to soothe and hydrate the lips. Another one with cica is the ‘Stress Shooter – Cica Bomb’ working as a light moisturiserz and having a cooling effect on the skin.
Finally, the ‘Aqua Bomb Mist’ work a refreshing spray that will help you skin hydrated and nourished without smudging make-up.
That was it for this edition of brand deep dive. If you have used any of these products let us know which one is your favourite. See you next time with a lot more skincare and beauty recommendations.
