ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) is back with their 4th mini-album, ‘CINEMA PARADISE’. It’s been just over a year since their official debut, and they haven’t slowed down since. Already a million-seller group, ZB1 continues to captivate audiences globally with their refreshing concept, wholesome content, and great music.
This mini-album marks the start of a new era, following their debut filled with hits like ‘In Bloom’, ‘Crush’, and most recently ‘Feel The Pop’. We’re absolutely thrilled about this new release—let’s dive into the music and see what they’ve prepared!
CINEMA PARADISE
The mini-album kicks off with a bang with the title track ‘GOOD SO BAD’, produced and written by KPOP hitmaker KENZIE. This song features an amazing build-up and a bright tempo that will leave listeners swooning and hooked from the start. The singing, rapping sections, and masterful mixing are major highlights, with a killer bridge delivered by Matthew, Zhang Hao, and Taerae.
The music video is a stunning production with charming storytelling and a parallel world concept that shows a fun and cute side of the group. The performance, group shots, and overall flow of the MV are heartwarming, with a cameo by a famous actor adding an extra touch. Watch it below:
‘KILL THE ROMEO’ follows with a funky arrangement and a surprising beat mix, including a touch of afro beats. This song is sharp and cool, with fantastic beat and vocal progression, making it a solid b-side.
Next up is ‘Sea’, a remake of the 1997 summer bop originally by the group UP. This track retains the original’s musical sweetness while incorporating ZB1’s signature vocal smoothness, making it a delightful listen.
‘Insomnia’ comes in with dreamy beats and an excellent mix that had us absolutely vibing. The fast-paced drums and bass are incredible, making this single nightclub anthem-worthy!
‘Road Movie’ opens with beautiful acoustics before evolving into a hip-hop bop with serious old-school vibes. The sectioning and transitions are pure perfection, blending seamlessly to showcase ZB1’s vocal power and versatility.
With an R&B-pop mix, ‘Eternity’ brings a sentimental feel with its pretty vocalizations. The members shine individually in their verses, and their harmonies together are just beautiful.
The mini-album closes with the Korean version of their Japanese debut, ‘Yura Yura’. While this version is as charming as the original and we absolutely live, the original will always hold a special place in Zerose’s hearts.
ZEROBASEONE has delivered another beautifully cohesive release, showcasing their versatility and talent in a mini-album filled with genre diversity and great tracks. This group keeps surprising us with every comeback, and we absolutely love what they’re doing with their music.
