[Review] xikers – HOUSE OF TRICKY : Doorbell Ringing

Xikers is the brand new debut from KQ Entertainment, it’s been 5 year since ATEEZ debuted under this company and the expectations are quite high.

Consisting of Minjae, Junmin, Sumin, Jinsik, Hyunwoo, Hunter, Junghoon, Seeun, Yujun and Yechan; Xikers was already known as the KQ Fellaz 2, and it is debuting with the EP ‘HOUSE OF TRICKY : Doorbell Ringing’.

We are very excited for this release, ATTEZ leader Honjoong, EDEN, Maddox and the members of this rookie group participated in the creation of this EP, let’s get right in and listen to what they have prepared.

HOUSE OF TRICKY : Doorbell Ringing

…The Tricky Secret’ kicks off this EP on a cinematic note with an intro that takes us into a different world we the reality of humans is ”Good or Evil”. This narration is accompanied by a quite intrusive music arrangement that tenses up the story and draws listeners in.

Doorbell Ringing’ welcomes listeners and goes off with an very fun music arrangement and dope hip-hop beats. This single steadily goes from hype to vibey and it is a full ride to listen to. The beats drop are fantastic and the build up insane.

The first title track in this release brings some moombahton beats and a refreshing sound. ‘TRICKY HOUSE’ is a total power song with a very impressive sound and unique colours. The music video for this song increases its SWAG, with super dope special effect an awesome and quirky storyline and very tight and amazing dance moves. Watch it below.

Playing as an interlude ‘Dynamic (Cheongryang)’ is a hype track with a very cool rock instrumentation and a sick electric guitar. This song is quite the opening for the second title song ‘ROCKSTAR‘ and its angsty feel, the punk feel in this song is real, the melody and layering is insanely good, and the members really deliver with impressive singing and rapping. This song is power, the perfect track to make crowds go wild.

XIKEY‘ comes along with a dope mix of beats and the rap line delivering some sick verses, this single is super lit and it just gets better with the sudden change of tempo and beat for the bridge.

Closing this release is ‘Oh My Gosh’ beginning with outstanding high notes and fantastic EDM beats, the pace changes and build up are **chef kiss, and it is the perfect end for a debut ep that shows off what Xikers is made of, and we are sure we will listen a lot more from these guys.
