[Indie Pick] Hong Yaejin

We’re back with a new Indie Pick, this time about singer-songwriter Hong Yaejin. If you’re into soft ballads and gentle vocals, stick around.

Debut

Hong Yaejin debuted in 2018 after winning the encouragement prize at the Yoo Jaeha Music Contest.

Her new work came out in 2021 with the single ‘I knew’. She wrote, composed and arranged the full track. She also played the piano line.

Yaejin released her first EP a month later in 2021. ‘Someone to watch over me’ has the title track ‘As I am. It is a gentle, lovely folk album.

Her next release was the single ‘A Moment of Bliss’.

In 2022 she came out with the single ‘A Fleeting Feeling’.

‘Eternal Light’ is the title track of her second EP ‘Trust’ which was released in January 2023.

Her most recent release is the single ‘The page of today’.

I’m very curious to see how far Hong Yaejin will take her music. I’m sure her music resonates with a lot of people, now I just need more people to notice her.

Go ahead and say hi on Instagram here and follow her releases on her Spotify here.
