[Review] Xdinary Heroes – Hello, World!

The boys from Xdinary Heroes are finally back with their first mini-album ‘Hello, World!’. The band dropped their debut single over a year ago which we wrote about here. We’re stoked to listen to this new release, let’s dive in!

Hello, World!

We start off with the title track ‘Test Me’. This rebellious pop rock track is such a FUN listen. I love the hook and the beat. The rap verse kind of caught me out of left field, but after a second listen I was fully on board. The guitar line is dope.

Also can I just say, the see-through instruments are insane?! I’m obsessed!

Next up is the single ‘KNOCK DOWN’. The play with rhythm is so cool. This is an alt rock track and has a very cool bassline. The chorus is definitely a highlight of the song. The outro goes all in, I dig it.

‘Sucker Punch!’ hits hard (ha! – sorry). This song goes so hard, I am living. Get your good headphones out and feel that guitar shred in your soul.

After that we get ‘Strawberry Cake’. This chorus gave me a heart attack, then revived me and told me to stream. The vocals, the layering and the instrumentals just go so well together. It’s absolutely brilliant. Next level man!

‘Pirates’ is up next. The intro and first verse feel dangerous! I love the focus on the piano in the prechorus. What a beautiful vocal tone in the chorus. The brass in the instrumental makes this so much fun.

The closing track is the instrumental version of the title track ‘Test Me’.

I am so stoked with ‘Hello, World!’ by Xdinary Heroes. This was such a fantastic first listen. I will be playing this for a hot minute. Honestly, this was well worth the wait.

Go listen to it here.
