[Review] Xdinary Heroes – LXVE to DEATH

The boys from Xdinary Heroes are back with their next EP ‘LXVE to DEATH’. We’re super curious so let’s take a closer look!

LXVE to DEATH

We start off with the funky ‘Lost and Found’. I love the tempo changes and the guitar is really poppin off here. The lyrics are surprisingly depressing for such an upbeat tempo.

Next up is the title track ‘ICU’. We’re going for 80s hard rock and it’s absolutely fabulous. The ‘ICU uh’ part was so satisfying and the chorus is just delicious. This is such a fabulous track. The vocals are great, the rap verse was hella cool and the guitar solo in the bridge was 10/10!

The music video feels like a fever dream. I literally laughed out loud when I saw the cat litter scoops.

After that comes the pre-released ‘Fire (my sweet misery)’ which we wrote about here.

We’re exploring despair with the track ‘Ashes to Ashes’. It’s an emo track with insane guitar moments and an impressive chorus.

‘Spoiler!!!’ brings in some exciting synths and a lot of roaring vocals. It’s a crazy listen due to its unexpected progression, but honestly, it’s a vibe!

‘Love Tug of War’ starts off with an cool guitar intro and they keep that motif throughout a big chunk of the song. It’s lovely and overal this track is a lovely listen with a cool chorus.

The closing track is ‘LOVE ME 2 DEATH’. It’s a cool metal core track and I like how the album description described it: “It sings of heartfelt love with pouring lead guitar, racing drums, and intense screaming that explodes like a scream.”
