[Review] TNX – BOYHOOD

The boys from TNX are back with their latest mini-album ‘BOYHOOD’. Let’s dive right in!

BOYHOOD

We start off with ‘Kick it 4 now’. This is such a fun way to start their album. This is pop meets R&B and Swing with a super 90s vibe. I absolutely adore this title track. It’s catchy and they suit this style so well! The vocals are fresh and I really enjoyed the lower tones.

The MV really gives that summer feel with all of the super fun retro influences. The jumpsuits on the beach are beyond adorable!

By You’ is next and the lyrics were written by member Eun Hwi. This is a fun contemporary pop track. It has a genuine boyish charm and it’s a really lovely listen.

After that comes ‘Good day’. The track is a very laid-back pop single. I like the chill beat and there are some really nice vocals in there. The layering is nice and overall this is a pretty cool track.

‘My Bias’ is written, composed and arranged by member Eun Hwi. It’s an up-tempo track that shares the excitement of falling in love. It’s absolutely adorable.

We follow that up with ‘1000 Miles’. This is a such a good track. I love the focus on the members’ vocals and their messages. I also really enjoyed the little harmonized ‘oh’s’. The chorus is lovely and very heartfelt.

The closing track is the English version of the title track ‘Kick it 4 now‘.
