[Review] ONEUS – BINARY CODE

The boys from ONEUS are back with their new mini-album ‘BINARY CODE’. We’re excited because they’ve continuously released some amazing music.

BINARY CODE

We start off with the title track ‘Black Mirror’. It gives us some of the funky ONEUS we’ve been wanting. I am in LOVE with the bridge which starts with harmonies and slides into a rap section. Big cheers for the ad-libs and the whistle, because it adds that extra bit of *spice*. Also a big hell yes to that bass line.

Next up is the track ‘Connect with US’. This is the longer version of the original that was on their previous album ‘DEVIL‘.

‘Polarity’ follows that with with a groovy guitar sound. This track leans more towards R&B with a dash of pop mixed in and blesses us with some great vocals and a smooth rap section.

The fourth track on the EP is ‘Happy Birthday’. It’s groovy, kinda sexy and the lyric ‘I’m so thirsty, I go crazy’ had me cackling. This is the kind of track you won’t get tired of though. I can see this be on a lot of playlists for a long time.

Last up on this release is the rock version of ‘Valkyrie’. The track was originally released on the 2019 EP ‘LIGHT US’. This feels like such a dramatic version, I am LIVING for it.
