The band LUCY is back with new music in their fifth EP, ‘FROM.’, featuring a double title track and three new singles. This group has captured our hearts with their beautiful releases and their ability to surprise us with each comeback. We’re excited about this release—let’s dive in and see what they’ve prepared!
FROM.
The first title track, ‘VILLAIN’, opens the EP with angsty instrumentals that give off serious anime OST vibes. The full composition and vocals in this track are stunning, featuring a beautiful musical build-up and breathtaking violin instrumentation. The music video adds even more depth, with a performance that beautifully mirrors the story told in the lyrics, as the members linger around the actor, giving voice to his expressions and feelings.
The second title track, ‘Complex’, starts with a fantastic bass performance and evolves into full band acoustics. This single surprises listeners with its fabulous musicality and energy. The jazzy section in the bridge is mind-blowing and elevates this already amazing track to new heights.
‘Dokkaebi Dance’ takes us into fun territory with its catchy melody and hybrid sound. This single is rich in musicality, with plenty of highlights for those who appreciate great instrumental build-ups.
Next is ‘Burn It’, which incorporates soft rock instrumentals into the release. The piano and soft singing are major highlights, and the track only gets better with the addition of more acoustics and heartfelt emotion.
The EP closes with ‘Falling Flower’, starting with a beautiful violin performance and evolving into soft guitar instrumentals. As the song develops, it becomes richer in sound, with gorgeous vocals and even a choir, making for a solid and satisfying end to a beautiful release.
Once again, LUCY has surprised us with an album filled with rich musicality and beautifully composed music. Don’t miss this non-skip release—make sure to check it out here.
