[Review] Perfect Marriage Revenge

We’re back with a new K-drama and this time we’re sharing our thoughts about ‘Perfect Marriage Revenge’. This is an MBN drama of twelve episodes which was based on a Naver WebToon. Honestly this snagged a spot on my to-watch list as soon as I saw the trailer, but it took me a second to get to it. Let’s take a closer look!

Perfect Marriage Revenge

This MBN drama aired in in November and December of 2023, so I’m very late. In the story we follow our main lead Han Yi-Joo (Jung Yoo-Min). Yi-Joo is stuck in a family who hates her because she’s adopted and stuck with a fiance who’s actually in love with her sister. She finds her solace in her paintings.

When her family crosses the line and police gets involved, Yi-Joo ends up in a car crash and is catapulted back into the past. Her goal – revenge and she’s not afraid to be mean. She decides to ask Seo Do-Guk (Sung Hoon), the man her sister has a crush on, to marry her and sets off dominoes that have the two families reeling.

Overall

This was a super fun drama to watch. Everyone was so deliciously evil, and the good guys were brilliant. The chemistry between Yi-Joo and Do-Guk was fantastic and I really like how they portrayed their relationship as they go from fake dating to actually being in love.

I can’t believe I waited this long to watch it, so definitely go check it out!
