[Review] Han Seungwoo – Fade

Han Seungwoo from the boy group VICTON is back with his second solo EP ‘Fade’. Let’s dive right in!

Fade

We start off with the title track ‘see you again’. It’s a beautiful ballad that is filled with just his vocals and a stunning piano line. This track feels very raw and I suggest you turn on the translated captions because wow.

Next up is ‘LL’ featuring none other than SURAN. We’re going R&B with this one. It’s a great song with excellent vocals and a cool chorus with their joint harmonies. It’s honestly really pretty and a very smooth listen.

‘On & Off’ tells the story of people who hide all of their emotions inside and promises that they will also find love. With the acoustic guitar this is a very soft indie pop track. They played really well with the instrumentation. The moment where they cut everything away and Han Seungwoo is whispering, gave me actual shivers. What a great track!

After that we get ‘Fateful Love’. I’m getting major summer vibes with this one. It feels very playful. Seungwoo flips between very melodic rapping and singing seamlessly and it’s fabulous to listen to. This is ideal roadtrip music to accompany your summer adventures.

We close off with the track ‘We loved each other’. We’re going more into the direction of indie rock with ‘We loved each other’. I genuinely enjoyed the almost chant-like chorus. It’s a fun way to hype you up.

It is great to see Han Seungwoo’s growth in ‘Fade’. In this mini-album he wrote and co-composed each track, making it very personal. That’s going to resonate with fans and people who may accidentally stumble upon his music. You can listen to ‘Fade’ by Han Seungwoo on Spotify here.
