[Review] 2PM – MUST

Second Gen legends 2PM are back with their much anticipated comeback album ‘MUST‘. It’s been a few years since their last release and fans were looking forward to this comeback.

Let’s dive into the music of this release, I am sure we are up to a few surprises.

MUST

Intro‘ begins this musical journey with a smooth jazz orchestration and serves as the perfect introduction for the title track ‘Make it‘. This song flows flawlessly between a jazzy instrumentation and EDM beats. It is sexy, catchy and SMOOTH. The perfect title track.

The music video for the title track is basically a movie, with super cool CGI, and the 2PM members looking incredibly good. Watch it below.

OK or Not‘ comes next with a very much theatrical vibe. I loved the vocals in this song, the layering was incredible and there is so much feeling in every single verse.

Get ready to get hyped up with the EDM beats in ‘On My Way‘. This song is very much a summer release that will have many jamming to it. The flow and change of tempos in this track has second gen idol style that I absolutely loved. The nostalgia!

Champagne‘ begins and we continue with summer bops. This time we deep bass and a composition that had me wanting to go swimming and having a cocktail at the pool. It’s hella smooth!

The Cafe‘ starts off with fantastic vocalizations, that continue to make this track a chill pop track with an R&B feel. The piano instrumentation mixed with the electronic beats was an amazing touch that made this single even more enjoyable.

Half way

EDM meets R&B in ‘Moon & Back‘, this song shows off 2PM’s sweet and powerful vocalists and how dynamic this group is. Is there anything they can’t pull off?

We go soft with ‘Two of Us‘. This song is super sweet and also feels extra romantic. The piano instrumentations added an extra delicate feeling and had me melting away as I listened to it.

Lo-fi and acoustic piano come together in ‘Hold You‘, this song is a gift to the fans and 2PM goes off with incredible harmonizations and soft vocals. Wholesome content in one track.

Last on this release is the acoustic version of the song ‘My House‘ originally released in 2015. The original version of this track was already a memorable bop, but this version takes it to the next level with its jazziness and incredible acoustics.

2PM delivered a fantastic comeback album and exceed all the expectations I had. A 10 out of 10. Make sure to listen to this album here.
