[Review] Eric Nam – There And Back Again

Eric Nam finally dropped his new album ‘There And Back Again’. This is his second full-length album and he’s dropped some singles as pre-releases. We were waiting with a lot of anticipation, so let’s dive right in.

There And Back Again

We start off with ‘Lost On Me’ which is the first of two title tracks. It’s a soft pop ballad with a very cool bass sound and a lovely drum in the back. ‘Lost On Me’ is a very pretty track that will undoubtedly be loved by fans.

Next up is the pre-released title track ‘I Don’t Know You Anymore’. We wrote about that single upon release here.

The following track ‘Any Other Way’ was also pre-released. Read about it here.

‘Wildfire’ is AMAZING! The chorus with the vocal layering and the effect with the organ is insane. I love it. I love the lazy beat with Eric Nam’s vocals. When the electric guitar comes in during the bridge I was sold 100%. Honestly this song is going to suckerpunch you in your feelings. It’s the kind of song you shout on top of a cliff into the void.

Next up

Next up is ‘What If’. This is a groovy pop track that has a smooth build-up and a groovy guitar riff. It’s lovely!

‘Admit’ follows that up. I love the way they balanced the instrumentals here. It has just the right amount of synth that tickles my brain in the right places. It’s a wonderful track and I suggest just reading through the lyrics because wow.

The closing track is ‘One Way Lover’. This is super soft. I love the addition of the strings in the instrumentals. I’m adding this to my favorites. It’s so smooth!

Overall, ‘There And Back Again’ by Eric Nam is a wonderful album. I feel like the entire concept was very well thought out. The vintage flair to all the music videos are stunning. It’s a very coherent album that tells a full story.

Lastly you can find the album on Spotify here.
