[Review] DKB – HIP

The boys from DKB are back with their new mini-album ‘HIP’. Let’s take a closer look!

HIP

We start off with the track ‘Ghost Ridah (Wow Wow)’. According to the album description this is a Rage Hip Hop track with a lot of groove, and they’re not wrong. This is a pretty cool track with a super catchy chorus that gets you hyped up.

Next up is the title track ‘What The Hell’. This is a Hip Hop based track based on glitch pop and it makes for a very interesting listen. The meaning of the track is that DKB can overcome any obstacles and that’s rad.

‘Me, Me & You’ is up next. This album description is super cute: “The lyrics contain feelings about the person you like, and the half excitement and half fear of confession are expressed in a fun way with the words, “I’m scared.”” This is a pop track with a Jersey Club Rhythm.

We’re going for dreamy vibes in ‘Slush’. It’s a blend of R&B and Hip Hop and makes for a very nice listen. I enjoyed the chorus and the very smooth rap verses.

The closing track is ‘Fireworks’. It’s an awesome closing track with a Hip Hop base with a very chill flow and some band instrumentals. I loved the electric guitar. This is such a cool moment. Also hello vocals!!
