[Review] ATBO – The Beginning : 開花

The boys from ATBO debuted with their mini-album ‘The Beginning : 開花’. The group was formed during the survival program ‘The Origin – A, B Or What?’. Let’s dive right in to see what kind of music they’re releasing into the world.

The Beginning : 開花

We start off with ‘7IBE’. This intro is super interesting. It is EDM mixed with classical music. It also flickers between rap and a church choir. The only complaint I have is that I wish it was longer.

Next up is the title track ‘Monochrome’. Hip-Hop meets Dance in this track. The members did an amazing job with the rap and the vocals. I really enjoyed the flow and the power in this track. The chorus is catchy and goes hard. It’s hard to believe this is only their debut.

‘Graffiti’ is funky! This bright, fun energy is so delightful. The guitar riff in the instrumentals is familiar and awesome. It feels very 90s. I am in love with this track!

Next up is ‘High Five’. This is a fun pop track with cool chanting and a nice energy. The track about teamwork fits ATBO well. It’s cute.

‘WoW‘ comes up next. This is a super fast paced track! It definitely accelerated my heartrate.

The closing track is ‘RUN’. They performed the track in the survival show. You can watch the performance below.

Overall ATBO did a really great job in their debut mini-album ‘The Beginning : 開花’. You can find the mini on Spotify here. I’m definintely very intrigued. I’ll be following the group to see what they do next.
