Queendom 2 – Episode 8 Recap

We are back with another weekly recap of Queendom 2. This week’s round is “FAN-tastic Queendom” and the groups are performing “for their fans”. This round will be worth 15000 points. We are set for fierce competition and a very wholesome episode.

Before we get right into the battle here are the final results for the “Position Unit Battle’’.

  1. Brave Girls (1)  / WJSN (2)
  2. Hyolyn (3) / VIVIZ (4) / LOONA (5)
  3. Kep1er (6)

Before D-Day

After scoring first in the second round and winning the “Queen Service”, Hyolyn went shopping with the credit card she got as a reward. This queen went to get clothing for her dancers and we got to see how much she cares about them.

As the concept of this round is “for the fans”, she decided to go busking and show her love for BAE.

From LOONA’s side, they were welcomed to a special event from Orbit, where they showed the members a candid and supportive letter. ADORABLE.

Brave Girls prepared a streaming event for their fans (FEARLESS), where they asked them which song they wanted to hear them sing.

VIVIZ read supportive comments from their fans (Na.V) and decided to host an event to feed their fans.

Kep1er decided to hold a master dance class for their fans (Kep1ians), Yongeun and Mashiro infiltrated in the class to surprise fans. All the members joined them later and they had a very wholesome mini fan-meeting. ADORABLE CONTENT.

WJSN organized an online event for Ujung (fandom), however, their fans surprised them by showing up at the venue to show their support. Bona is finally joining them in Queendom after finishing recording her latest drama.

The performance order:

  1. Kep1er
  2. VIVIZ
  3. WJSN
  4. LOONA
  5. Brave Girls
  6. Hyolyn

Kep1er

The girls from Kep1er are taking the stage first, we get to see a lot more of the interactions they had with their fans in their little event. A lot of their fans agreed with them performing a Girls’ Generation song. The support that their fans showed was very heartwarming and emotional.

They decided to perform the hit song ‘The Boys’. Starting off with awesome harmonizations, and going to a dance break, Kep1er’s stage was full of power and energy. They had a more mature concept that they absolutely killed with a very impressive choreography and super stable vocals.

VIVIZ

The girls from VIVIZ are meeting some of their fans Na.V in a cute bakery and plan to surprise them with gifts. All the fans received a goodie bag with handpicked items.

Na.V shared some heartwarming messages to the girls as the past year has been quite rough on them with the disbandment of GFriend and the rebranding to VIVIZ. Fans are cheering them on as they create new music.

VIVIZ chose to perform their debut single ‘BOP BOP’ as they have never been able to perform it in front of their fans and this would be the first time, making it extra special.

The girls start off the performance with a lift! They went for a cheerleading concept and it looked fantastic. SinB got a moment to shine with her long ponytail during the EDM dance break. Eunha had a majestic, chill-inducing belt and Umji looked absolutely amazing with her new hair. It was a great, fun show to watch!

WJSN

The decision had to be made between ‘Pantomime’ and ‘Masquerade’. The fans, Friendship had suggested the two. The members were leaning more towards ‘Pantomime’. After a brainstorming session, including the infamous powerpoints, they were ready to start preparing.

They called in aerialists to help them prepare for the show. Exy was having a hard time with the twisting and turning, but eventually with help from Bona, she managed it. Bona, who has also been acting, wasn’t able to join in the first couple of episodes.

The performance was based on the concept of a Broadway musical and what a show it was! There were so many amazing separate parts. The beginning with the special effects was awesome and kept you guessing. The chair moment was really cool. They had a dance segment that had them moving like dolls. The ending with the aerialism dance was intense and had fans not knowing where to look first. It was a grand spectacle and I loved every second of it.

Next week’s episode is set out to be dramatic. From the snippet we saw of Brave Girls’ performance, something is going to go wrong that will have devastating results.
