For this week’s Offstage we are diving into the career of a producer with an immaculate sound and a solid discography. Let’s talk about TOIL.
Debut
Ahn To-il (aka. TOIL) released his first EP in 2018. ‘TOYSTORY’ included the participation of the Wayside Town crew, along with 100KGOLD and B JYUN from the JBC crew. This EP was a collaborative project with Leellamarz, and it has a lovely balance between R&B beats with hip-hop. Check the title track below.
His next project was the EP ‘Tokkinny Brown’ with Skinny Brown in 2019, and included features by CHANGMO, ASH ISLAND, Leellamarz and many more.
In 2020, he released several collaborative projects with Leellamarz, including the tracks ‘Human Addict’, ‘GONE’ and the EP ‘TOYSTORY2’.
First solo
His first official solo release was the single ‘Go’ in 2020, featuring Leellamarz, Skinny Brown and Jayci Yucca.
His following release was with Kid wine. The single ‘He’s next to you, instead of me’, was a new addition to TOIL’s discography, with lovely instrumentation and a very soft sound. Check it below.
In 2021, he signed with Daytona Entertainment and released his first album ‘Curtain Call’ including features by big names in the industry such as Loco, The Quiett, Don Malik and many more. With this album he expanded his sound greatly, and as a listener his growth as a producer can be really heard and appreciated.

The same year he dropped the single album ‘TokkinnyBrown1.5’ with Skinny Brown, and the singles ‘All of it’ and ‘To the Moon’ with YUMDDA.
His latest release was the EP ‘Between Sat & Sun’, including features by Heize, BE’O, BIG Naughty, Leellamarz, and many more. For this EP TOIL really went for it and expanded his already solid discography, with a lovely blend of hip-hop and R&B, with beautiful orchestration , a touch of EDM, and even a marching band.
