In this week’s OffStage we are diving into the impressive works of the Design Studio Graey, the masterminds behind the art of a lot of the albums from mainstream K-pop acts.
This studio, besides doing graphic design, is also involved in the art direction, branding and visual identity.
Posters
One of the first works we could track was their poster for SHINHWA’s 16th Anniversary Concert.
During this same year, they were also responsible for the concert posters for BTS 2014 Live Trilogy, ‘The Red Bullet’, Girls’ Generation 10th Anniversary Concert, ‘Holiday to Remember’.
In 2015, they created the posters and information booklets and pamphlets for the SHINee concert, SHINee’s World in Seoul, along with the posters for the first Lovelyz’ fan meeting.
The following years they worked on the poster visuals for TVXQ!’s Special Comeback Live Concert; EXO’s Planet #4, SHINHWA’s 20th Anniversary identity & All Your 2018 Concert poster, the NU’EST W Concert, BTS’ BANG BANG CON The Live in 2020, among many others.
Album Design
Studio Graey has a lengthy list of album designs in their portfolio, starting from 2014 (in their webpage) with artists such as MBLAQ, BTS, Red Velvet, BOA, Pristin, NU’EST, SEVENTEEN, EXO, Super Junior, TVXQ.
Most recently this studio was involved in the design of visuals for the following artists:
