[Actor Spotlight] Noh Sang-hyun

From Fashion to Film

Noh Sang-hyun began his entertainment career in 2010 as a model, gracing the pages of GQ, Esquire, L’Officiel Hommes, and more. However, his transition into acting began in 2015, when he landed a small role in the film The Wicked Are Alive and made an appearance in the Netflix series Sense8.

His official drama debut came in 2017 with the web series We Are Peaceful Brothers, followed by the short film Spring in Summer in 2018.

Building His Acting Portfolio

Sang-hyun’s early years in acting leaned towards independent and supporting roles, allowing him to steadily refine his craft. Between 2019 and 2021, he built his filmography with roles in the movies ‘Folktale’ and ‘Money’; and the dramas ‘XX’, ‘Fight Hard, Love Harder S2’, ‘Alice’ and ‘300 Year-Old Class of 2020’.

However, his breakthrough came in 2022 when he starred in Apple TV+’s global hit Pachinko, gaining international recognition for his compelling performance. That same year, he also appeared in Curtain Call and Behind Every Star.

Latest Projects and Future Endeavors

In 2023, Noh Sang-hyun took on his first leading role in the drama Soundtrack #2 and starred in the film Love My Scent. His latest project, Love in the Big City, saw him co-starring alongside Kim Go-eun.

Looking ahead, he is set to appear in the upcoming drama All the Love You Wish For, further solidifying his rising career.
